ONLINE APPLICATION PROCEDURE/ELECTRONIC VISA REQUEST
1. You can register your application for visa on https://ezov.mzv.sk
2. After you have filled in the application, you have to print out and sign the application and you will be asked to book an appointment at the embassy.
3. At the appointment you must hand in the application form and all the documents that are necessary to process your application. When you have handed in all the necessary documentation we will start to process your application.
4. The application fee must be paid to the Embassy account in the day of the appointment.
The processing time for visa is ten working days from the day the Embassy receives the application in written form with all the documents and the fee paid.
Applicants applying for Slovak Entry Visa – type D in connection with family reunification or work: the applicant should not use the electronic visa request. Instead, they can use the printed application form for national visa and submit the same supporting documents as for the family/work permit together with the Schengen visa application form (see visa document checklist)
Applicants with Official or Diplomatic passports should not register their applications online but follow the old procedure.
Opening hours: All public dealings, including submission of applications, collection of passports as well as all telephone enquiries are between 10:00 hrs – 12:00 hrs only from Monday to Thursday
SCHENGEN VISA DOCUMENTS CHECKLIST
( For nationals of India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Maldives, Bhutan )
Prepare all the necessary documents before you personally deliver the application to the Embassy, otherwise the application might be returned
All documents have to be translated into English or Slovak. If necessary, the verification should be made by the relevant authorities.
Below are Common Documents for all category visa :
1. Schengen visa application form, completed and signed.
2. Travel document – passport – Passport/Travel document shall have been issued within the previous 10 years & should be valid for 90 days after expiry of the visa with at least two blank pages
3. Passport photo (white background) not older than six months (35-40MM)

5. Document confirming financial resources for covering costs of your stay in Slovakia and return journey:
documentation of own funds for the stay or a guarantee declaration issued by the reference person financial means (in invitation, or in guarantee letter etc.)
original of your bank account(s) for the last 6 months
original of the salary slip for the last six months
Traveller´s Cheques, Credit Card statement for the last six months, etc.
6. Confirmed booking (travel itinerary) of roundtrip air ticket, with fixed travel dates of maximum 90 days
Do not buy the ticket until visa has been granted.
If the application is approved, the visa will be issued according to the dates on the booking.
7. Valid medical travel insurance for the entire journey in the Schengen area with minimum coverage of EURO 30.000.
