How to Apply for a Visa for the Republic of Suriname
In case one is in the possession of a valid UK, USA or Schengen visa, or has earlier travelled to Suriname, a business or tourist single entry visa for Suriname will be granted with in 2 to 3 Days from the date of the submission of application. if note than Embassy will refer the case & it will take 6 to 8 weeks.
If the above requirement has not been met, please have one’s counterpart or host apply for the visa at the Consular Section, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Henck Arronstraat 23-25, Paramaribo, with the applicant’s passport copy and other relevant documents.
Applications can also be made at the Embassy. In that case the process time may take longer, as they will have to be sent to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Suriname for approval. An administration fee amounting to Rs 1000/- will be charged in this case.
Transit Visa applications are invariably submitted to the Embassy, which are forwarded to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Suriname. ION OF

Supporting documents needed.
– Copy of flight ticket (v.v.)
– Official letter of the authorized institution/organization confirming the purpose and period of stay in Suriname (issued on official letter-headed paper or stationery of the institution/organization).
Business Visa
Supporting documents needed:
– a copy of registration with the Chamber of Commerce
– an official invitational letter of the business partner in Suriname or official letter of the company of representation
– a copy of the flight ticket

Documents such as birth certificate, marital status and death certificate should be obtained at the municipal centre in the residing state/region. Affidavits will not be accepted.
Passports must be submitted after the approval of the Embassy. Approval is communicated to the applicant through phone call or email. For a fast and effective handling it is mandatory to mention the phone number and email address on the application form.
